Ramayana quotations
The following quotations are from the English Ramayana translation of

This is Sita's arrival in Ravana's palace in Lankapura, the first Ramayana episode located on Lanka:
He bore her on in rapid flight,And not a friend appeared in sight.But on a hill that o'er the woodRaised its high top five monkeys stood.From her fair neck her scarf she drew, Sita Kotuwa - Ravana's palaces
The area of Sita Kotuwa, besides Wariyapola, is believed to be the former Lankapura:
Thus Ravan his commandment gave Chariot Path - Sita's transfer to Ashoka Vatika
After Sita refused to commit adultery with Ravana, the enraged king ordered to transfer to the Ahoka grove. This quotation is from her answer to Ravana's courting:
Soon Lanka widowed by thy guilt Sita Eliya - Ashoka Vatika
The Ashoka grove or garden is the setting of many scenes from the Sundar Kand. It is here where Hanuman found her (Sundara Kanda 14), witnessed Ravana's visit, comforted her and finally proved to be Rama's messenger by presenting Rama's signet ring, received her jewel in return, and began the destruction of Lanka (Sundara Kanda 41). Most famous, of course, is the presentation of the ring after Sita doubted Hanuman's truthfullness, suspicious, his appaearence could be one more of Ravana's magic tricks:
“Receive,” he cried, “this precious ring, Ussangoda - Lanka burning
After being captured Hanuman was convicted to have his tail set aflame. But he could escape, and with his burning tail he torched Lankapura:
“What further deed remains to do Lakgala - Ravana shot
This is the shot of the Brahmastra, the ultimate weapon, and the end of Ravana:
Then Matali to Rama cried: Divurumpola - Agni Pariksha
This is Rama's and Sita's first meeting after the long time of her abduction and captivity on Lanka:
He saw her trembling by his side, Kelaniya - Vibhishana King of Lanka
Kelaniya: Vibhishana king of Lanka As Rama was leaving his farewell to his supporters ends with the words declaring Vibhishana to be the new king of Lanka:
